San diego humane society has a canine volunteer program that helps educate children at our shelter and in the classroom, visits community members at outreach events and brings joy to those who are no longer able to own a pet through pet. This program involves volunteers going to various locations around san diego county (such as shopping malls, stores, etc.), setting up a booth and soliciting donations for the center as well as talking with the public about center programs and handing out brochures.
